Melbourne based artist Luca Chiaravalle creates intricate miniature galleries and contemporary timber mosaics that explore scale, perception, and the act of looking.

His signature Miniature Gallery series features one-of-a-kind scenes: tiny figures placed within carefully constructed environments inside clear acrylic cubes. Each work is individually designed, composed and assembled by hand, making every gallery entirely unique. Intimate in scale yet expansive in feeling, the pieces invite viewers to pause, lean in, and engage more closely.

Alongside this, his mosaic works transform digitally developed, AI-assisted imagery into tactile physical artworks. Using the original image as a visual roadmap, Chiaravalle reconstructs each composition by hand from hundreds of individually cut and positioned timber tiles. The process is grounded in patience, precision and cohesion, bringing together digital image-making and traditional craftsmanship.
